I badly needed to get outside despite the gloomy weather so I decided to check out Wahatis Peak. I recently traded in my Camry for a RAV4, which enabled me to drive part of the way up the steep, narrow road as described by another trip reporter.

As the tallest mountain in the saddle mountain range Wahatis peak caught my attention. Getting here is the problem.

Hiking above the Hanford Reach in search of a terracache. The road up to the peak was pretty rough in spots and I swear I saw a flock of vultures waiting for us to drive off the road.
