Sacagawea Heritage Trail

We discovered another highlight of the Sacagawea Heritage Trail today: a solar system challenge! Pick up a booklet from one of the partners (we got ours at REACH which is also the location of the sun) and find all of the planets plus Ceres, make rubbings of the markers in the book, and return it to collect a prize.

Clover Island is a highlight/worthwhile side quest of the Sacagawea Heritage Trail. We started from the island, finding ample parking and flush toilets by the lighthouse.

Overview  I live in the Kennewick and although I bike rather than hike this discussion of the trail applies to hiking or riding as it is a multiuse trail.   I ride portions of the Sacagawea (spelling varies between Sacajawea and Sacagawea on signs throughout the area) Trail daily along with the Richland Riverfront Trail, the Keene Road Trail, the By-Pass Shelter Belt Trail (Green-Belt Trail on some maps) and several connecting trails/streets.
