This is a great place to introduce children to nature and hiking -- easily accessible, with lots of easy trails. You're obviously not in the wilderness, with power lines overhead, but wildlife seem to like it just the way it is.

We are camped at Charbonneau Park which is along Lake Sacajawea near Burbank, Wa. There was a brochure for McNary Dam Nature Area in Oregon at the entrance station booth.
