Paul and I saw 72 species of flowers in bloom, and we saw and/or heard 25 species of birds on this 12. 5 mile exploratory hike.

One of the cool things about the Wenas Wildlife Area is all the hike variations that are possible, including just following your path, though the current closed Green Dot roads and the myriad of non-usable roads make for a good starting points for adventure. This variation started at the gate on Audobon Rd, which after the Saturday rains made the road pretty greasy.
