Blyth Park
Seattle AreaBest Mar–Nov
A Bothell city park where the Sammamish River meets the Burke-Gilman, with short connector trails into Norway Hill.
About This Trail
Blyth Park sits at the junction of the Sammamish River and Bothell's Burke-Gilman Trail extension, a developed city park with grassy fields, a playground, picnic shelters, and a ten-hole disc golf course laid out across the open ground. Walking options branch from the parking lot: a riverside route follows the bank east toward 96th Ave NE, a woodland climb leaves the south edge into Norway Hill and ties to the Tolt Pipeline Trail, and the Burke-Gilman runs through for anyone wanting a longer push west.
The setting is suburban. Cottonwoods and bigleaf maples line the river; cattails and willow fill the wet margins. The walk is short, the grade is flat, and the surface alternates between mowed turf and gravel-paved bike trail. Families come for the playground; runners and cyclists come for the Burke-Gilman connection.
This is a stretch-the-legs park, not a hiking destination. Expect disc golf flight paths to cross the riverside path on busy weekends. Free parking, free entry, restrooms, and seventy-five spaces in the lot.
