A short, steep hike with excellent views of the Yakima River Canyon and great shrub-steppe plants and birds. I don’t really have anything to add after Justin44’s excellent trip report from February; I can just confirm that you should come prepared for sun and wind—potentially cold wind as you get higher up.

The Baldy Mountain Trail is definitely an uphill journey, but the views at the top are worth it. There is a route choice near the beginning of the hike if you choose to make it a lollypop hike.
