Lovely hike with lots of plants and flowers coming into bloom. We saw balsamroot, phlox, and ballhead waterleaf.

We did this hike around 8:00 this morning, and the parking lot was quite active considering the reprieve in the hot summer weather. We took the advice of taking a photo of the trail map at the trailhead, but really didn't need it.

Pretty muddy right now. Exterior loop trail has a tiny bit of snow remaining.
