About This Trail

Noisy Creek starts at the south end of Sullivan Lake, right out of the campground, and heads uphill through dense Selkirk conifer forest alongside its namesake creek. The grade is honest from the start. First couple miles go smoothly, but past the creek crossing, expect blowdowns and brushy sections that slow progress. This trail does not get much maintenance traffic, so plan on some route-finding.

The payoff is a mix of old-growth stands, creek noise that lives up to the name, and views that open up as you gain elevation toward the 4,700-foot high point. Strong hikers sometimes link this with routes to Grassy Top or Hall Mountain for a full Selkirk day. The campground at the trailhead makes it easy to pair with other Sullivan Lake trails.

Come prepared for an unmaintained feel. Blowdowns have been reported consistently since 2019, and snow lingers into late April at higher elevations. Best window is late June through October once the snow clears and the brush is beaten back a bit.
