I spent my last day of summer hiking Ryan Cabin Trail to the Kettle Crest, then doing the side hike up to the summit of Profanity Peak. I last did this hike in 2009, before the Stickpin Fire.

I had hoped to revisit an old favorite on the Kettle Crest by hiking the Stickpin/Leona/Kettle Crest/Ryan Cabin Loop. I haven't been on this trail since prior to the 2015 Stickpin Fire.

Kettle Crest North from Sherman Pass out and back. Made it as far as the Ryan Cabin trail junction, ~ 17 miles in, just shy of Profanity Peak area.
