Thank you to the crew that cut the downed debris on the trail between Shy Bear Pass and Wilderness Peak. However, there is still a lot of downed debris on the Wilderness Peak trail between the Jim Whittaker Wilderness Peak TH and Shy Bear Pass (see picture).

Beautiful day for a forest hike with some friends. Definitely a bit more elevation than we had expected but still doable.

Our hike today was one of those where you should never listen to weather forecasts and stay home. We had a dry hike from Whittaker / Wilderness Creek Th for a 5 mile lollipop loop up to Wilderness Peak memorial bench.
