This was a recon hike to check out the West Fork Miller River Trail for a future group hike. I drove up the gravel Miller River Road off the Old Cascade Highway from Highway 2.

This valley was the site of very active mining back in the 1890's. In fact it had the most productive mines in King county history.

This is the most underrated trail I know. Gorgeous walk in true old growth forests with some incredible cedar trees.
