We decided to do some first-time mountaineering practice on Welldigger's Ass and Mount Weird. Parking at Yodelin Lodge was wide open now that Steven's Pass is closed for the ski season.

Back up plan of the day to Mount Weird and Welldigger's Ass as we're short on time. Started at Yodelin, put on snowshoes and followed well defined ski tracks most of the way.

My friend Brian and I broke trail here today. Though it rained driving up Highway 2, we only had two very brief, light rain showers the whole time we hiked.
