I went up to French Ridge lookout site yesterday to see the fall foliage. The Icicle Creek crossing was a bit tricky with the bridge out, but the water was low and I found some rocks to hop on (they were slippery/icy, so I might bring spikes).

Hiked Ladies Loop counterclockwise, parking at Rock Island and camping at Upper Florence Lake. Road was fine in a sedan - some potholes you can avoid.

This is a really nice and relaxing walk in the woods. The road is great up the icicle and you can meander about as far as you want to go on a fairly level trail that plays peek a boo with the river.
