About This Trail

Susie's Trail connects River Park and Osprey Park in Sultan, following the Sultan River for about 0.9 miles on a wide gravel path. Improvements completed in 2019 added new bridges, gravel surfaces, and a quarter mile of fresh trail, making the whole route stroller-friendly and easy to follow.

The path winds through pine and deciduous forest, crossing a sturdy bridge early on before paralleling the river upstream. English ivy covers some birch trees along the way, and cedar stands provide shade. A short spur trail branches off to a quieter stretch of riverbank. In late spring, salmonberries line sections of the path.

This is a connector trail at heart. Pair it with Osprey Park to the north for a longer loop, or start from River Park near the skate park where a port-a-potty is available. The Veterans Memorial and Chief T'seul-ted statue sit at the Sultan-Skykomish rivers confluence, accessible via a pedestrian bridge near the southern end. The trail can flood during high river levels in late fall and winter.
