This is a snowshoe “trail” in the winter that is actually an unplowed road so the “Snow Conditions” in the trip report does not apply. Also the “Road Conditions” applies to US route 2 and not the road that was snowshoed.

A really fine day snowshoeing. Our hike leader had been up here four days ago to reconnoiter the route and observed that since then there was now eight inches of fresh powder on top of the base layer.

After a week of rain, I wanted to go back up to the PCT before snow cover made it difficult to get in and out. The access road to the trailhead is about 3miles.
