About This Trail
Silver Falls Interpretive Trail is a flat, 1.2-mile loop through trees along the Entiat River at Silver Falls Campground. Benches and interpretive signs line the route, which follows the riverbank through a mix of conifers and riparian vegetation. The trail connects to the larger Silver Falls Trail system, making it a natural add-on for visitors hiking to Silver Falls itself.
The path is flat with no significant obstacles, suitable for young children and anyone looking for a relaxed riverside stroll. The campground setting means facilities are nearby, including restrooms at the trailhead. The Entiat River runs clear and cold alongside the trail, and the forest provides full shade.
A few downed trees have been reported across the trail in recent years, requiring some stepping over. The campground requires a Sno-Park permit in winter. The 30-mile drive up Entiat River Road from Wenatchee is part of the experience, passing through progressively wilder country. This trail pairs naturally with Silver Falls and other Entiat Valley destinations.
