Central CascadesBest May–Mar
A casual road walk to a 4,760-foot summit near Blewett Pass, best as a winter snowshoe objective.
About This Trail
Roughhouse Mountain is an unofficial name for a 4,760-foot peak in southwestern Chelan County, accessed via a straightforward road walk from Old Blewett Pass. The route follows Forest Road 9715 through mixed conifer forest with gradual grade. No maintained trail exists; the "hike" is a road walk to the summit area.
The peak serves primarily as a winter snowshoe destination and an early-season option when higher peaks remain buried. Views from the top include the Teanaway and Blewett Pass ridgelines. In summer, the road walk is easy but unremarkable. In winter, compact snow on the road makes for pleasant snowshoeing with minimal avalanche risk.
