For folks who don’t want to drive the long way round, I don’t see any reason why you can’t park in the housing development and bike the final mile or two to the old access road. Bummer the current landowners have blocked access this way, but signs only prevent entry from motorized vehicles.

Good snowshoe today with ngie, as we got up to the summit of Natapoc Mountain. We parked at the base of the powerlines on a pullout on Highway 207 less than a mile away from Coles Corner where Hwy 207 intersects with Highway 2.
