My friend and I did Index's main peak via Hourglass gully on a hot, hot day. The parking lot was almost full when we got there around 0745.

Quite the trip getting over to Mount Index via the Mount Persis traverse with ngie. Very rugged terrain with lots of route finding, super steep duff, and some spicy trail conditions.
