I've wanted to hike around Glacier Peak for a very long time but something always got in the way. Weather.

The mileage descriptions in the WTA guide are accurate. The roads got progressively worse, with many miles of narrow, rutted dirt, and lots of dust (no wonder we didn't encounter a single vehicle, or person, the entire way, besides a few dirt bikes).

Definitely only recommend attempting this hike if you have a high clearance vehicle to get to the trail head and have a topographical map and a compass you can navigate with. We made it to the unmarked trailhead, there is only a small post on the side of the room with a grassy clearing to park in.
