Little Wenatchee River Road Snowshoe

I am tagging "Wenatchee Ridge" and "Little Wenatchee River" because we started there, but please note we actually did not do either of these in entirety.   We parked at the end of Lake Wenatchee Highway, were the gate is closed.

We didn't do this exact hike, but we didn't do the Wenatchee Ridge snowshoe either… we followed the signs to the viewpoint on FR 6502 staying to the right at the first intersection and going to the end of the road. There were great views and a mileage of about 13.

The Little Wenatchee river is one of two feeder streams for Lake Wenatchee, running west into the Cascade Mountains. During the summer you can drive on this road (Forest Service Road 65) almost to Stevens Pass, rejoining HWY 2 at Smithbrook Road, but during the winter months it is left unplowed from the west end of the lake and is used by snowmobilers, skiers and snowshoers as a trail.
