Note: this is not a trail, this is a scramble that involves route finding and bushwhacking and steep loose terrain and scrambling. I would not recommend this to most hikers.

Smithbrook trailhead parking lot was nearly full at 7 am on this partly-cloudy Saturday. My friend and I set out at 7:30 am with the intention of summitting Lichtenberg Mountain and potentially Mount McCausland if we had time.

Hiked to Lake Valhalla from the Smithbrook TH, then bushwacked around the lake and up Lichtenberg. Scrambled the west peak and walked over to the east peak for lunch.
