About This Trail

Enchantment Park is a riverside trail network in downtown Leavenworth running along the Wenatchee River. The 2-mile system connects parks, Blackbird Island, and the Wenatchee River Institute through wide, well-maintained dirt paths. Interpretive plaques along the route cover local wildlife, vegetation, and history. Some sections are lit for evening walks.

The trails pass through cottonwood and pine forest with multiple access points to the river for wading and cooling off in summer. Blackbird Island forms a loop within the network and provides the most forested, quiet section despite being in town. A large paved parking lot at the park entrance on Enchantment Park Way serves as the main trailhead, with restrooms, picnic areas, and trash cans.

This is an in-town walk, not a backcountry hike. It works well for visitors staying in Leavenworth who want some easy exercise, families with small children, or anyone looking for a shaded river walk on a hot day. Winter conditions include packed snow and icy bridges, so traction devices help from December through February.
