SoaringEagle and I got up to Cleveland Mountain, on the heels of several parties from the weekend. Once on consistent snow, there was an obvious boot path to follow.

Ngie and I stopped about 400ft shy of the summit, as the unconsolidated snow had slowed our progress immensely thru the day. The car/bus/ small cottage size boulders are just huge up on the upper flanks of Cleveland, and with only around 16" of snow they were treacherous to navigate thru..

Sometimes one might wonder why and how certain peaks get named. I could not think of a better name for this trail than Cleveland as it truly is the WTA version of a city that had its river catch on fire due to chemical waste.
